They removed my fair comparison between Neo and X1 Pro known specs.
Not a good sign, if you ask me..

    X1 Pro or Neo. Well.

    Pro:
+ Much better image quality and 60FPS.
    + Rear obstacle detection.
+ Supposed 40 kmph tracking speed, which is insane for cycling.
? Unknown frontal obstacle detection and tracking. If it really needs a beacon for accuracy, probably not great.
    – No GPS
    – Last-minute half-cooked gamepad with 1KM range.
    * Supposed 499€ standard (+35€ shipping) and ~700€ combo (+35€ shipping). But it will be probably 399€ standard and ~530€ fly more, since the X1 always had "discount".

    Neo:
+ Wonderful tracking, much much (MUCH) better than the X1. First drone ever that follows your path instead of your direction. Every other drone before (including the Mini 4 Pro) cuts corners, this one not. It's really good for not very complex environments.
+ Autonomous mode (Palm Control), Mobile mode (Mobile App Control) through WIFI, up to 50 meters, Controller mode (RC Control) up to 7 kilometers, and Manual FPV (Manual Control) up to 7 kilometers. I have seen real-life test up to ~2 km, which is pretty insane for such size, but battery won't give you more anyway.
+ Manual FPV is really good. Of course it is not an Avata, but it flies surprisingly fine. The problem is: unless you already have the O4 FPV gear from DJI (Goggles 3 + Remote/Motion Controller 3), you will spend 600-1000€ more in a beginner level FPV drone, which is not a very smart idea. But oh well.
+ Wind performance is supposed to be Level 4 (up to 30 kmh), but it is also really good in real life test regardless.
? Voice commands. 101% useless gimmick for the most part.
? Sound recording through the app (with DJI Mic 2 support). It records the sound, removes the props noise and send the sound track to the drone to be muxed with the video. Could turn into a great feature in the future, but nowadays is almost useless, due sync problems and not very good audio quality.
    – Decent camera, not great, definitely the worst camera that DJI even put on a drone (which is not that bad, since DJI cameras are the best out there).
    – No Micro SD and only 22GB. But they give up to 40 minutes of 4K 30FPS video, which is more than what the 3xbatteries will deliver anyway. And Quick Transfer is really quick.
    – ~21 kmph tracking speed, which is kinda low for cycling. Sports mode can fly up to 30 kmph and Manual mode up to 60 kmph. So there could be room for improvements in the future, unless the SOC is not up to the task. Let's see.
    * 199€ standard and 350€ fly more.

Besides the official specs, we don't basically know anything real about the X1 Pro/Max. The Neo has been tested left and right and it is a surprisingly capable drone with some flaws but room enough for big improvements through software updates. In my opinion it is 50/50, not a clear winner. It really comes down to how much you want to spend and what features do you need. Quality/speed/obstacle detection on the Pro and Flexibility/GPS/Range/Modes/Support/Price on the Neo.

Of course HOVERAir drones are not competence to DJI in any way. This Zero Zero campaign raised 3 million dollars, which is pretty much pocket change for DJI. Pretty sure they have spent much more than that in any marketing campaign for a single drone.

I love this design but… which ski resort is going to let you fly a drone? albeit a mini one?

The pro max can only go 15 meters high (just like the X1) in the autonomous modes (birds eye) Are you freakin kidding me?

Im wondering about the magnetic attachment of the beacon and bike mount. Is it going to hold when I go downhill Mountain biking in tough Alpine terrain?

This is disappointing because Hover is supposed to be simple and easy, if I want pro features, remote control..etc I'll get a DJI. You should've thought of how to make it simpler, instead of thinking how to add a bulky remote control.

I like what I see! Definitely will be getting it. I want the 8K resolution. It’ll be even more pro if it comes with any type of D-log M, or log profiles.
